Biography: Yassine Salih-Alj holds a Bachelor in Microelectronics from University of Quebec at Montreal, a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from ÉTS "College of high technology" of Montreal. He is pursuing actually his Ph.D. in Telecommunications at INRS-EMT "National Institute of Scientific Research-Telecom." and working as a research associate at the LRCS "Research Laboratory of Underground Communications" in Val-dor, Canada.

Distinctions:

-  Excellence Bursary of Quebec Government for the short delay to end the Bachelor.
- Winner of Excellence Bursary of Bell Canada Company during Masters Studies (winter-2002).

Research topic: Ultra-Wideband Fast Acquisition System for Positioning in Underground Mining Environment.
